We provide care for adults with a history of mental illness in a 24 hour Supported Living environment in the community. The support we provide to our clients is by way of personalised care plans and helping them re-establish their independence. Our interventions focusses on helping our clients develop social and domestic skills, sign posting to agencies that can help them establish daytime routine which may include paid or unpaid work.
We value and promote our clients to develop and establish healthy relationships with friends and family. Our staff support clients to attend appointments, encourage compliance with medication and engagement with secondary mental health services. Other support services include helping clients access social security benefits, accessing services appropriate to their needs such as substance misuse services, counselling and talking therapies as appropriate.
Our Services Includes:
Essex Community care services provides a Supported Living environment for people recovering from mental illness in the Community. We work with people with various diagnosis of mental illness that includes : Schizophrenia, Bipolar affective disorder, depression, drug induced psychosis as well as Personality disorder. We are not an addiction service but we accept clients who have a primary diagnosis of mental illness but may also have substance misuse problems.
However, we have a zero tolerance for illicit drug use in within our service even though we sign post our clients to substance misuse services and support them with therapies.
We work with primary and secondary NHS services, adult social care, children’s services, as well as voluntary organisations. We encourage and support our clients to maintain relationships with family and friends.
We support their treatment plans, promote independence, develop social and domestic skills, establish routine (including paid or unpaid work)
